This stunning ceramic beer stein celebrates the 500 year anniversary (1516 - 2016) of the German purity law or Reinheitsgebot, which states only barley, hops and water can be used in beer.
500 Years of Pure, German Beer
With an ever-growing market of products that choose to label themselves as “beer,” the German Beer Purity law of 1516 clearly casts these fruity, oversweet, and downright crude adult beverages into their own separate categories where they belong.
That’s not to say that a good American Ale can’t be enjoyed, however. It’s just that if you want to own a classy beer drinking mug that only barley, water, and hops is allowed in, check out this beautiful Ceramic 500 year Anniversary Beer Stein with a cobalt lid.
Not Just a Beer Holder—It’s Also a Work of Art
This German beer stein doesn’t only function to keep your beer cold, carbonated, and the drinkability at a premium. It serves as a decorative piece of art that radiates German culture and sophistication should you choose to place it on display. Or, it can have your friends in awe in case you break it out at a party. The front description reads:
“Wir wollen auch, dass in unseren Städten, Märkten und auf dem Lande zu keinem Bier etwas anderes als Gerste, hopfen und Wasser genommen und gebraucht werden soll.”
Which translates in the King’s English to:
“We also want that in our cities, markets and suburbs nothing else shall be added to or used for beer than Barley, Hops and Water."
There are only 500 of these steins in existence WORLDWIDE. So, if they catch your eye, it may be wise to place your order as soon as humanly possible. Because someone else will.
This ceramic mug can hold up to one liter, or 35 ounces of your favorite beer. This is almost equivalent to three standard 12 ounce cans of beer, so a predesignated driver may be a necessity. They are approximately 12” tall with a width of 4.7”. It has a high quality cobalt lid that is perfect for any beer enthusiast. As with our other 500 year anniversary products, these authentic king-sized steins are made in Germany.

I ordered this 2 years ago and it is my favorite Stein that I have. It is beautiful craftsmanship. I am looking for another Stein to add to my collection and this one popped up again. Definitely worth the buy. I only let Reinheitsgebot Bier in this Stein.
