This beautifully detailed advent calendar depicts a cozy snow covered scene of one of the oldest Christmas Market's in Germany know as the Striezelmarkt in Dresden. This Christmas market dates back to 1434 and it's unique name is derived from the middle high German "Struzel" or "Striezel", which today is called the Dresden Stollen. The traditions of this German Christmas market are well preserved and treats such as the infamous Dresdner Stollen and the Dresdner Pflaumentoffel can be found here.
The detailed picture has 24 little doors to open. Each door has a little picture behind it. The tradition is to open one door each day from December 1 thru December 24. Children love to open a door a day as they count down to Christmas.
Does Not come with candy or chocolate and does NOT have glitter accents
