Product Description
This beautifully detailed advent calendar depicts the Christmas Market (Christkindlmarkt or Weihnachtsmarkt) in Salzburg, Austria. The market is setup on the frozen Salzach River with the panorama of the city glowing behind. Townsfolk enjoy the festivities visiting with friends, shopping, sledding and ice-skating. A violin on sheet music in the upper left pays tribute to Mozart, who was born in Salzburg.
The detailed picture has 24 little doors to open. Each door has a little picture behind it. The tradition is to open one door each day from December 1 thru December 24. Children love to open a door a day as they count down to Christmas.
