This 2 Liter 2006 limitat antique style beer stein is a tribute to King Solomon, who was renowned far and wide for his great wisdom. The stein is based on a historic original sculpted by Peter Duemler currently in the King Werk archives.
The front features King Solomon seated triumphantly upon his horse in the central panel. The panels on the sides feature Justicia (the Goddess of Justice), holding the symbolical scales of justice and Fortitudo (the Goddess of Fortune), pictured with the laughing lion. Surrounding the main characters are a myriad of cherubs and demons representing the forces of good and evil. King Solomon's fabled temple is pictured in panels on the lower half.
Ornate and finely detailed decorations with flowers and vines surround the panels.
This stein was originally sculpted around 1875 by Peter Duemler and is now being faithfully reproduced by King-Werk GmbH.
Cream, cobalt blue and burnt sienna color scheme in relief hand painted decoration. Ornate pewter lid. Includes a certificate of authenticity and history in German and English.
