Multi Color Salt Glaze Beer Stein

Stylized hops & leaves design, salt glaze finish stoneware Pils-Stange beer stein 0.4 Liter. Detailed cobalt blue, green, yellow, brown and stoneware gray glaze colors with hand painted incised decoration.  

A Stange mug or glass in Germany is tall, narrow and traditionally used for Kölsch (or in this case Pils - a Pils-Stange). Stange literally translated means "stick" or "pole".

Salt glazing is a unique process and involves adding salt into the kiln during the firing process; thus variations, darkening, or spotting in the finish are normal and make each item one of a kind!
